y “Golden Witch” lottery outlet has given out more than 30 major prizes, including
three Christmas Jackpots, two first prizes in the Niño Jackpot, several second prizes,
and a lot more third prizes. Nobody in the world has shared out as much luck as me;
and that’s without counting the loads of millionaire prizes in pools, Primitiva
Lotteries and other National Lottery games.My first prize happened more than 15 years ago,
on the 6th January 1994. One of my favourite numbers, 08,036
(postcode for Barcelona’s Diagonal Avenue), was the number chosen by the magic of the raffle draw.
But it did not come out by chance: Xavier, Rosa and I worked hard to bring luck.
My two friends went to hundreds of places in the Pallars region and surrounding areas,
with the aim of selling lots of lottery tickets and being given a wider range of numbers
by the State-owned Lotteries and Bets Organization. They also ensured brand recognition
of my trademark, La Bruixa d’Or, thanks to my fantastic merchandising. In fact, before it
had given out any prize, La Bruixa d’Or was already one of the top-selling lottery outlets
in Spain, and number one in merchandising.
Meanwhile, I was experimenting with my magic, and I was investigating how I could
make sure that the luck would stay in Sort, at the home of my great friend Xavier.
Thanks to the efforts of Xavier, of Rosa, and to my magic loaded with good intentions,
we succeeded in making the lottery prize home in on La Bruixa d’Or; and not just once,
but many times. What’s more, even in the years when we didn’t give out one of the top three
prizes, we gave out tens of millions of Euros to our customers.
